Yes, they do. But I’m not actually a dog. I just played one on the internet long enough that people know me as a dog.

So then, who are you?

By day, I am a security engineer specializing in DFIR for mac environments. By night, I like to conduct OSINT investigations. Sometimes my friends will send me pictures of where they are and ask me to find them. It’s quite fun. But I digress.

I started my journey into information security out of sheer boredom. In 2023, the SAG-AFTRA strike was in full swing, and I felt pressure to move into an industry that seemed to have more stability. There was a slight issue. As an artist living in Brooklyn, I had no money. I was selling solar panels door-to-door and realizing that, while creating art is fantastic, I couldn’t pay my landlord in hopes and dreams.

So, I decided to change tack and learn as much as I could. While I went the now well-trodden path of completing TryHackMe and Hack the Box exercises, literature written by the security community sustained me through a lot of dry material. Blogs like Sophia Santos‘ OSINT Exercises and talks from Defcon like “Weaponizing Your Pets: The War Kitteh and the Denial of Service Dog” served as amazing resources, because they showed me the importance of play in an industry that requires constant learning. And, after reading Soatok’s blog Dhole Moments, I realized that I can be my full self while doing this.

What’s this blog going to cover?

Frankly, I’m not even sure. This blog is going to be eclectic. At the time of writing (late March 2026), I expect it to be a blog that covers largely the following:

  1. Digital Forensics and Incident Response – I work in this space and want to talk about wins and failures (as my job permits) so that people can learn.
  2. Personal Projects – I like to tinker with other elements of information security. Expect some blogs to be about what I get up to on the weekends.
  3. Maybe a current event or two in the furry or cyber security space.

If that’s something that you are interested in learning more about, please stick around. I’ll do my best to keep this entertaining.
